DOUBLE TRIUMPH OF PIO IN ARGENTINA!
AL SHAQAB QATAR CHALLENGE - Ezeiza - Buenos Aires.
On Friday, in 80km FEI,PIO and his mare KRISTINA, took the first prlace in the race. Also his teammates, Bernardo Algorta, finish in 4th position and Javier Rodriguez, took 2nd place in the Young Rider category.
Today in the 120km FEI with PICAFLOR WM, PIO also took first place.

Loveran's daughters, HM SILVANA and HM JOAQUINA take the gold medal in the last weekend in the FEI raid held in Haras La Perserverancia(URU).
HM SILVANA won first place in the major categories of competition in the 120km FEI *** mounted by Pio Olascoaga Amaya. The next day, the same rider took also the first place in the 80km FEI ** with HM JOAQUINA.

The Uruguayan horse PINTAKA(Bay,Gelding,2000,Cross Raid) won today's 90km CEI * Lady race which took place at Emirates. The rider Ana Lia Mendez, from Argentina, took to the podium to PINTAKA.
We are glad for this result because it was Pio Olascoaga Silveira who saw him competing in the traditional Uruguayan Raid and recommended this horse in June 2008. From that time PINTAKA start to train in LA UNION (AL AASFA Endurance Training Center in Uruguay) at that time Managed by Pio Olascoaga Silveira.

While some horses are just arriving at the desert, others are spending their second season there. One of these is HM ABU BABA, this horse has been training with ABDULLA AL SHAIK from the last season to now.
This time, HM ABU BABA´s rider was Sebastian Avila. He was part of our team, which went to work with Abdulla with a group of people formed, basically, by Argentinean and Uruguayan riders.
This Uruguayan couple achieved the 18th position within 230 couples that rode 80km in the competition MAJID BIN MOHAMMED ENDURANCE CUP; this took place in Dubai.
What is more, many more south American horses classified, most of them are related to us. Either were these trained by Pio Olascoaga Silveria at La Union (AL AASFA´s stable in Uruguay) or, were they recommended by Pio Olascoaga Amaya to some teams.

After Pio Olascoaga Amaya offered AMIR to the best endurance trainers arround the world, Mr. Hadi Nasser from AL SHAQAB, a prestigious and well known team from Qatar came for it in middle May, 2010.
In Pio´s opinion this was one of the best horses in Uruguay and had always wanted it to work with first level trainers.
From then AMIR started to train for AL SHAQAB in Uruguay. On 19th July, during the CEI 3* international competition of 160km, Faleh Nasser classified with this horse in Haras La Perseverancia (located in Costa Azul).
This horse travelled to France in order to continue training and to get used to the North Hemisphere temperature. After this, it was selected from a bounch of elit horses to represent Qatar in the World Horse Games in Kentucky (USA).
Today we are happy and proud of AMIR and Faleh`s 5th place in the 2010 Endurance World Competition.
